Peter arrived on time every day and worked efficiently and professionally. He was very respectful of our space and cleaned up after himself. He communicated well with us and explained the process and the materials he was using. He also gave us some useful tips on how to maintain the bannister and prevent any damage .The bannister itself is beautiful and well-crafted and really sets off our open space living area.

We recently had Pete undertake a number of jobs at our home, this included fitting a kitchen, new doors and skirting board. He also repaired the staircase. We had all our internal doors replaced by Peter, and he was totally professional throughout. Peter is very articulate and tells you exactly what is needed and has a “if it’s not good enough for him, it’s not good enough for you” attitude. I cannot rate Peter highly enough, and we will be using his services again very soon.

Peter installed new posts, rails and spindles at the top of our stairs and gave us an amazing deal on some solid oak material. He also painted some doors for us in the deal! So pleased and would highly recommend such a genuine and professional person; hard to find these days.

First off Peter is a lovley bloke, very friendly and approachable. He turned up time and and was very professional about his work. He doesn’t like to leave until a job is done right. I needed my old banister rail replacing as it was not child friendly at all. The new one he installed is a massive improvement on what was there before. We Have just had our Staircase Banister and Spindles fitted by Peter. He Also did some Work for us replacing part of the Floor in The Porch. We recently had complete new banister fitted, with a door under the stairs for storage, really pleased with the finish and we were given multiple options for the final finish as our staircase was not a standard fit. I contacted Peter Lilley for a quote to replace my wooden flooring after it had got damaged. Pete was polite and had a ‘no nonsense approach’ when he came to give a quote and then he was reliable and professional in his workmanship when he completed the job soon after. He was busy with bigger jobs but fit me in nevertheless.

Peter has just finished re-installing the spindles, handrail and newal post for the stairs. Because the original newal post was still in place at the top of the stairs Peter crafted the new newel post at the bottom to be as close a match as possible. The quality of Peter’s work is excellent and I would highly recommend him.

A few weeks ago I had Peter out to fit an new banister rail, newel post and spindles. His advice and experience was invaluable and saved me time and money in suggesting the best way I should proceed.

His experience is obvious from when you start talking to him and is further compounded when you watch him work, he truly is a craftsman who takes care in his work. I have had some bad experiences with other tradesmen and so feel qualified when I see a good one who takes care in what he does.

Its been a few weeks now since the work was completed and I am still as cuffed now as I was when it was completed. Its a first rate job at a reasonable price. I found Peter to be a really genuine punctual guy and needless to say I would highly recommend him to others who have carpentry work they need doing.

Pete did some carpentry for us recently over the December/January period, carrying out some fireproofing works in order to bring our loft conversion up to building regulation standards. He worked skilfully to correct the previous builder’s botched work, was easy to deal with, and was also trustworthy – we weren’t around so we left him a set of keys and he got on with the task in hand. Overall very pleased.

Peter was knowledgeable and friendly. I had no worry with Peter as he is clearly a good honest man and worker. He supplied and fitted a new bannister to my staircase to include newels, base and hand rails and spindles. He done a great job.

Peter was thorough and cleaned up after himself too which was great. He done a few other odd jobs for me which I was so pleased about and can’t thank him enough for doing.

We needed a wobbly staircase fixing in order for us to be able to fit a stair gate at the top of our stairs. Peter was very friendly, including talking to our 10 month old son. He immediately knew how to fix the problem, gave great advice on future care of the banister and our stair gate is now safely fitted! Would definitely recommend him and would without a doubt use him in the future.

Peter turned up on the first occasion when we were having a boiler fitted under the stairs and radiators getting to work onthe skirting without a moan about the mess he was having to work around. We then proceeded at a slightly later date to have him fit a door under the stairs and new front door frame for our hardwood triple glazed door. This was something because of the gaps and plastering we were quite amazed he was able to do. we found the finish on his work is excellent, he is truthful , trustworthy and honest. I would ask him to do work again without hestiation.
